THE MESSAGE
THE GOOD NEWS OF CHRISTIANITY
"He became what we are, so that we might become what He is."
St Athanasius of Alexandria, On the Incarnation (c. 318 AD)
This is the whole story in one sentence. God did not send a message. He came Himself. The Son of God took on human flesh, lived our life, died our death, and rose again, not merely to forgive us, but to draw us into His own life.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."
John 3:16

WHAT IS ORTHODOXY
CHRISTIAN ORTHODOXY
It describes the ancient, unbroken stream of Christian faith stretching back to the Apostles themselves. Long before printed books, this tradition was carried in living community:
in prayer, in sacrament, in song, and in the faithful witness of the saints.
"Orthodoxy is not a system of ideas to be studied from a distance. It is a life to be entered, a story to be lived from the inside."
CHRISTIAN ORTHODOXY
At its heart, Christian Orthodoxy holds that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human, and that His life, death, and resurrection have opened the door to union with God for every person.
The Orthodox Church preserves the theology, worship, and way of life handed down through the earliest Christian theologians and teachers. Its services have been prayed by millions across centuries. Its icons depict a cloud of witnesses. Its fasts and feasts mark time with meaning.
If you have ever felt that there must be more to Christianity than you have yet encountered, you may find in Orthodoxy a depth that rewards a lifetime of reading, prayer, and discovery.
